ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Hindu reform movement

The Hindu Reform Movement was like a big group of people who wanted to update and change some things about how people practice Hinduism. They wanted to make sure that everyone had equal rights, even if they were from a different caste or gender. They believed that the religion should be more modern and not just stuck in old traditions that might not make sense anymore. They also wanted to make sure that everyone could read and write, and that education was available to all, not just some people. Basically, they wanted to make Hinduism a more fair and modern religion that would be better for everyone.
