Hinduism in Southeast Asia

Hinduism is a religion that began long ago in India. It is all about worshipping gods, believing in karma (the idea that good actions now will bring rewards later) and having a peaceful and happy life. In Southeast Asia, Hinduism has been around for centuries because many Hindu people have moved there from India. They brought their beliefs and customs with them, and practiced them in the new places they settled. Many Southeast Asian countries, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, have Hindu temples and festivals. People from those countries celebrate religious holidays like Diwali (Hindu New Year) and Bali Hai (a festival of technology).
