Hinduism in the Philippines

Hinduism is a religion that originated in India a long, long time ago. It has many gods and goddesses, and people who follow Hinduism can worship any of these gods or goddesses.

Now, let's talk about the Philippines - this is a country of islands, located far away from India. People in the Philippines have their own religion, but they have also been influenced by many other religions throughout history.

Hinduism came to the Philippines a very long time ago, when traders and travelers from India came to the islands. They brought with them their customs, traditions, and religion. Some Filipino people started following Hinduism and built Hindu temples in the Philippines.

Over time, Hinduism in the Philippines changed and became a little bit different from Hinduism in India. Some of the gods and goddesses that were worshipped in India were also worshipped in the Philippines, but some new ones were added too.

Sadly, nowadays, there are not many people who follow Hinduism in the Philippines anymore. But there are still some Hindu temples that you can visit if you are interested in learning more about this religion and its history in the Philippines.
