Hinge theorem

Ok kiddo, so imagine you have two angles in two different triangles that are both touching the same side. Now, if one of those angles is bigger than the other angle, then the side that they're touching in that triangle will be longer than the side they're touching in the other triangle.

This is called the hinge theorem because it's like the angle is a hinge that makes one side swing out farther than the other side.

Just remember, if two triangles have similar angles but different side lengths, the side across from the bigger angle will also be longer.
