Hispanic and Latino Americans

Hispanic and Latino Americans are people who come from or have ancestors from countries in Latin America and Spain. These countries include Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Peru, and many others.

People who are Hispanic or Latino may have different skin colors, hair types, and physical features. This is because their countries have a rich history of different cultures mixing together, such as indigenous people, African slaves, and Spanish colonizers.

In the United States, many people who are Hispanic or Latino speak Spanish as a first language, although some may speak Portuguese or other languages. Hispanic and Latino Americans contribute to American culture, art, music, food, and many other aspects of life, making the cultural tapestry of America incredibly colorful and diverse.
