ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Historical Miniatures Gaming Society

Okay kiddo, have you ever played with toy soldiers? You know, those little ones that you can move around and play battles with? Well, grown-ups like to play with those too! But instead of playing with just a few toy soldiers, they have a lot of them that they can use to make big pretend battles.

The Historical Miniatures Gaming Society is a group of grown-ups who really love playing these pretend battles with toy soldiers. But they don't just play with any toy soldiers, they use ones that are based on real history. They try to make the battles look and feel like they really happened a long time ago.

They don't just have battles for fun, either. Sometimes they also use these toy soldiers to teach people about history. For example, they might set up a pretend battle from a famous war, like the American Civil War or the Battle of Waterloo. They can help people learn how the battles were fought and why they were important.

The society has lots of different people in it, all with different toy soldiers and different ideas for battles. They all come together to share their love of history and toy soldiers, and to have fun together.
