History of Unix
Unix is a type of computer operating system that was created a long time ago by some really smart people.
Before Unix, computers were big and expensive and only a few people could use them at once. But Unix made it possible for lots of people to use the same computer at the same time, and it made it easier to do lots of different things on the computer, like writing words or making pictures.
Unix was made by some people who worked at a big company called Bell Labs. They started making it in the 1960s, and they kept improving it over many years. Lots of other people started using Unix too, and they helped make it better by adding new things to it.
