History of computer and video games

Okay kiddo, so a long long time ago, people didn't have computers or video games. They didn't even have television or fancy toys to play with.

As time went by, people started inventing machines that could do math and calculations for them. These machines were called computers. But they were really big and expensive and only the smartest scientists and engineers got to use them.

Then, in the 1970s, some clever people figured out how to connect a simple computer to a TV and make it play games. They called them video games! People could play these games at home and have fun competing against each other.

At first, the video games were pretty simple. They were just things like pong, which is like a virtual version of tennis. But then, people started making more and more complicated games with better graphics and cool features.

Soon, video games became really popular and you could find them everywhere. People would go to arcades to play games with their friends or even just hang out and watch other people play.

As time went by, video games continued to evolve and change. We now have all kinds of different games from puzzle games to action games to simulation games.

And that's the story of how computers and video games came into our lives and changed the way we have fun and entertain ourselves!
