History of sexual slavery in the United States

Sexual slavery is a kind of slavery that involves people being forced to have sex against their will. It has been happening in the United States since the 1600s, when settlers from Europe brought African people to North America to be sold as slaves. The African people were forced to work the fields and do other hard work. They were also forced to have sex with their owners or other white people, even though they did not want to. This continued for hundreds of years, and even after slavery was abolished in the United States in 1865, it still happened. In the late 1800s, laws were passed that made it illegal to own other people, but some people found ways to keep people in sexual slavery by threatening them or by taking away their freedom. This happened even into the 1900s, but fortunately the laws have changed and it is now illegal to keep people in sexual slavery in the United States.
