History of wine

Okay kiddo, so a long time ago, people figured out that they could make something special called wine by crushing grapes and letting the juice sit for a while. When they did this, the juice would start to ferment, which means that tiny little creatures called yeast would start eating the natural sugars in the grapes and turn them into alcohol.

The first people to make wine were probably the ancient Greeks and Romans around 2000 years ago. They used wine for all sorts of things, like drinking (of course), making offerings to their gods, and even cleaning wounds because they thought it had healing powers.

As time went on, wine became more and more popular and spread to different parts of the world. In places like France, Italy, and Spain, people started to specialize in making different types of wine using different kinds of grapes and techniques. And because they were so good at it, their wines became famous all over the world!

Nowadays, there are many different types of wine and people all over the world enjoy drinking it with their meals or just by itself. Isn't that cool?
