ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Hmong–Mien languages

Okay, kiddo, so you know how people all around the world speak different languages, right? Well, one group of languages is called Hmong–Mien.

This group includes a bunch of similar languages that are spoken by people who live in parts of Asia, like China, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam. People who speak these languages are often called Hmong or Mien.

Now, even though these languages are all part of the same group, they're actually pretty different from each other. It's kind of like how some cars are the same brand, but they each have their own unique features.

The Hmong–Mien languages have been around for a really long time - way longer than you or me! And people who speak these languages have their own cultures and traditions that are important to them.

So, that's the Hmong–Mien languages in a nutshell. Cool, huh? Do you have any other questions about it?
