Hob (hearth)

A hob or hearth is a piece of furniture in the kitchen that you can sit pots and pans on to cook food. Just like how you put toys on a table to play with them, you put your pots and pans on the hob to cook food. The hob has different sections where you can put different pots and pans, and you can turn on the heat to make them hot so they can cook food. It's like magic! You can cook yummy things like soup, stew, pasta, and even scrambled eggs on the hob. Just be careful not to touch the hot parts or you might get burned!
