Hochrandpfennig

A hochrandpfennig is a type of old coin that was used in Europe a long time ago. It was a small, round coin that had a raised edge around the outside, kind of like a donut.

These coins were made out of metal and had a picture or symbol on one side. The picture could be of something like a king or queen, an animal, or some other important person or thing. On the other side of the coin, there would often be some kind of writing, like the name of the ruler who was in charge at the time.

Back in the day, people didn't have paper money like we do now. They used coins like the hochrandpfennig to buy things like food, clothes, and other everyday goods.

Nowadays, the hochrandpfennig is no longer in use as a form of currency, but some people still collect these coins as a hobby.
