ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Holy Kinship

Holy kinship refers to the family of Jesus, which includes his mother Mary, his foster-father Joseph, and his relatives, such as his cousin John the Baptist. It is called "holy" because Jesus and his family are considered to be very important figures in Christianity.

Think of it like your own family, but much more special. Jesus is like your older brother, Mary is like your mom, Joseph is like your dad, and John the Baptist is like your cousin. They are all related and important in the story of Jesus and his teachings.

The concept of holy kinship helps Christians understand the importance of family and how Jesus had a close relationship with his family, just like how we should have a close relationship with ours.
