Holy city

A holy city is a place that is really special and important to certain religions, like Christianity, Judaism, or Islam. For example, Jerusalem is considered a holy city because it is important to all three of these religions! People might visit a holy city to pray, to see important religious buildings or artifacts, or just to feel closer to their beliefs. Sometimes holy cities can be really crowded and busy because lots of people want to visit them!
