Homelessness in Japan

Homelessness in Japan means that there are some people who do not have a place to live. Homeless people in Japan usually sleep in public spaces such as parks, train stations, or under bridges.

Unlike in some other countries, where people become homeless because they do not have enough money or because of addiction problems, in Japan, people become homeless for many different reasons. One of the reasons is that some people lose their jobs and cannot find another one. Sometimes, people lose their homes because they are going through a divorce or are kicked out of their family home.

In Japan, there are shelters for homeless people, but they are often overcrowded, and some homeless people prefer to stay outside rather than in the shelters. Additionally, some homeless people have difficulty accessing government support, and this can make it challenging for them to rebuild their lives.

Many people in Japan feel ashamed of being homeless, and this can make it harder for them to ask for help. However, there are charities and organizations that help homeless people by providing food, clothing, and support services.
