ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Homothetic center

Imagine you are looking at a big circle and a smaller circle that is inside it. Now, imagine that you can make the smaller circle bigger or smaller, but always keeping it inside the big circle.

The point where you would draw a line from the center of the big circle to the center of the smaller circle for every size of the smaller circle, is called the homothetic center. It's kind of like the magical point where all the circles fit perfectly inside each other.

So, it's like a place that helps you resize and rearrange circles in the most efficient way possible!
