ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Hong Kong Institute of Architects

Okay kiddo, have you heard of buildings? Like the ones we live, work, and play in? Yes? Well, the Hong Kong Institute of Architects is a group of grown-ups who really like buildings and they want to make sure they are built safely, look good, and work well for the people who use them.

It's kind of like a club for people who are really good at building things, like how you might be really good at building towers with your blocks. When someone wants to build a new building or fix an old one, they can ask this club for help.

The club also helps train other grown-ups who want to be really good at building things like architects, which is a fancy word for someone who designs buildings. So they help make sure there are lots of really smart people who know how to build things well.

That's really important because buildings are where lots of people spend their time, and we want them to be safe and comfortable. The Hong Kong Institute of Architects helps make sure that happens.
