Hose (tubing)

A hose or tubing is a long, thin object that is used to move things from one place to another. It is made of a special material that can handle different kinds of liquids and gases without breaking.

You know when you drink from a straw, and the drink comes up through the straw and into your mouth? A hose works kind of like that - but on a much larger scale!

For example, imagine you have a garden and you want to water your plants. You would attach one end of the hose to your faucet, turn on the water, and then aim the other end of the hose at your plants. The water will flow through the hose and come out of the other end, just like a straw.

Some hoses are even bigger and can be used to put out fires! Firefighters use large hoses to spray water at a fire to put it out.

So, a hose is like a giant straw that can move liquids or gases from one place to another.
