Human microbiota

Hi there! Do you know what tiny little creatures called bacteria are? They are so small that you can't even see them without a microscope. They are everywhere, including inside your body.

These bacteria live in a lot of different places in your body, like on your skin, in your mouth, and in your gut. They are like a community of little helpers which we call the human microbiota.

They help keep you healthy by doing lots of important jobs, like digesting food, maintaining a healthy immune system, and even producing some vitamins. They work really hard to keep you feeling your best.

Sometimes, when we take antibiotics (medicine that helps kill bad bacteria if we have an infection), it can also kill some of our good bacteria. That's why it's important to take them only when we really need them.

Just like you need to take care of yourself by eating well and getting enough sleep, you also need to take care of your microbiota by letting them do their important jobs and avoiding things that can hurt them, like eating too much sugar or taking too many antibiotics.

So, always remember that your microbiota are your tiny little helpers who keep you healthy and happy!
