Human rights in Hong Kong

Human rights are the things that all people should have just because they are human. For example, you have a right to be safe, free, and have access to food and water.

Hong Kong is a place in China that used to be a British colony, but now it belongs to China. Some people in Hong Kong are worried that their human rights, which they are used to having, might disappear because of this change.

In Hong Kong, people have been protesting because they do not want to be controlled by China. They want to still be able to say what they think, have freedom to choose what they believe, and have the same rights as they did before the change occurred.

There have been reports that some Hong Kong people have been arrested or treated unfairly for their beliefs or for protesting. This is a violation of their human rights.

The government in China has promised to protect human rights in Hong Kong, but some people are unsure if they will keep their word. It is important for everyone to have their human rights protected, no matter where they live or what their beliefs are.
