Humans are special because we have the ability to act in a way that is kind and helpful to others, even when it’s not easy or convenient. This is called virtue. People who act with virtue take the time to think about how their actions might affect other people and how they can best help them. For example, when your friend lost their wallet, it would be a virtuous act to offer to help them look for it, even if it means having to wait while they search around. When a stranger needs help carrying a heavy bag, it would be virtuous to offer to help even if you are very busy.
