Husband-selling

Okay kiddo, so back in the olden days, when women didn't have as many rights as they do now, some husbands thought they owned their wives and could sell them like property. This mean, mean behavior was called husband-selling.

It would happen when a man was really fed up with his wife and didn't want to be with her anymore. Instead of just talking it out or getting a divorce, he would try to sell her to someone else for a little bit of money. This was very unfair to the wife because she didn't get to have a say in the matter and was treated like she wasn't important.

Luckily, we don't do this anymore and both husbands and wives are treated as equals. Everyone deserves to be loved and respected, no matter who they are!
