Hydrographic containment

Hydrographic containment is like when you want to keep something from spilling or getting out of a big container of water, like a swimming pool. You put special walls all around the area to make sure the water stays in one place, and nothing can get out. It's like building a fence around a yard to keep the dog from running away. The special walls are called barriers, and they are usually made out of strong materials like steel or concrete. Sometimes, you might see these barriers at the beach when people want to make sure pollution or chemicals don't get into the water. So, hydrographic containment is really just like having giant fences around water to keep it from spreading out too much or getting out of control.
