Hyperbolic functions

Hyperbolic functions are special math functions that work with numbers. They are like cousins to the regular trigonometric functions like sine and cosine.

The hyperbolic functions have some funny names like "sinh" and "cosh". Just like sine and cosine, they also use angles as inputs, but instead of measuring angles in degrees or radians, they measure angles in a special unit called "hyperbolic angle" or "hyperbolic radians".

When you use these functions, you get new numbers as outputs. These numbers are related to the "exponential function", which is another special math function.

One cool thing about these functions is that they have some interesting properties when you use them in calculations. For example, they can help you solve problems involving curves called hyperbolas, which are shaped like two mirrored arcs.

Overall, hyperbolic functions might seem complicated because of their strange names, but they are just another tool that math experts use to solve tricky problems.
