Hypostatic union is a big, big word that describes how one person, Jesus, is both fully divine (like God) and fully human (like me and you). It's like having a superhero who is both Clark Kent and Superman at the same time!
You see, when Jesus came to earth, he was still God, but he also became a real human being. He had a body, just like you and I do, and he sweat and got tired and hungry just like us. But at the same time, he was still God, so he could do amazing things like heal people and walk on water.
It's kind of like if you had a really cool robot toy that could do human things like talk and walk and play catch with you, but it was also a super powerful robot that could lift really heavy things and do all kinds of other cool stuff. Jesus is like that! He was fully human but also fully divine, and that's what we mean by hypostatic union.
