ISO Standards for colour ink jet printers

Okay, imagine you have a big box that makes pictures. These pictures are made of tiny dots that are different colors, like red, blue, and yellow. The box uses something called ink to make those dots.

Now, some people want to make sure that the pictures they make with the box look the same no matter where they are made or who made them. To help with that, there is a set of rules that the box has to follow. These rules are called ISO standards.

The ISO standards for color ink jet printers are like a checklist of things that the box has to be able to do. For example, it has to be able to make dots of certain colors, it has to be able to put the dots in the right place, and it has to be able to make sure the colors look the same as they do on a computer screen or a piece of paper.

Following the ISO standards can help make sure that pictures made with the box look pretty much the same no matter where or how they are made!
