ISO metric screw thread

An iso metric screw thread is a special kind of screw that has a certain shape and size that makes it easy to fit together with other screws and objects of the same kind.

Imagine a toy building block set where all the blocks are the same size and shape. Just like that, screws with an iso metric thread have a consistent and standard size and shape that makes it easy to fit them together.

The screw has a spiral groove that winds around the shaft of the screw in a straight line. This groove is called a thread. When we're building something and need to attach two pieces of material together, we use screws and bolts with an iso metric thread.

Just like how we need a key to open a lock, we need tools like a screwdriver or a wrench to tighten or loosen these screws. By turning the screwdriver, we can make the screw move forward or backward, and it will either attach or detach from the material it's screwed into.

In summary, an iso metric screw thread is like a toy building block that has a standard size and shape that makes it easy to fit together with other objects of the same kind, and we use special tools to tighten them.
