ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

ISO/IEC 9995

So, ISO/IEC 9995 is like a big set of rules for how letters and symbols should be typed on a keyboard. It's kind of like a manual that computer and keyboard makers use to make sure that all keyboards work the same way and have the same options.

The rules in ISO/IEC 9995 say things like where the letters and numbers should be on a keyboard, how to type things like accents and special characters, and how many keys a keyboard should have.

Basically, it helps make sure that whenever you type something on a keyboard, it appears on the screen the way you expect it to, and in the same way on all different types of keyboards. Isn't that cool?
