ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

ISSN (identifier)

ISSN stands for International Standard Serial Number and it is an identifier for magazines, newspapers and other publications. It is like a fingerprint for each publication and it helps people to find and keep track of publications. Like when you go to the library and look for a book, the librarian uses the book's ISBN (International Standard Book Number) to find it. In the same way, people use the ISSN to identify and find magazines, newspapers and other types of publications.
