IT asset management

Okay kiddo, imagine you have a lot of toys in your room- some big, some small, some new, and some old. But you know what happens if you don't take care of them and they get lost or broken? You won't be able to find them and you'll be sad!

Now imagine that a grown-up has a lot of toys too, but instead of toys they are computers, tablets, phones, printers, and other things that help them do their job. These things are called "IT assets".

But when you have lots of IT assets, it can be hard to keep track of them all. That's where IT asset management comes in.

IT asset management is like keeping a list of all the grown-up's IT toys, where they are, how old they are, and what they are used for. You can think of it as a map that helps grown-ups find their IT toys when they need them, and take care of them so they can keep using them for a long time.

With good IT asset management, grown-ups can make sure their IT toys are working properly, protect them from bad guys who might try to steal them, and make sure they have what they need to do their jobs.

Just like you take care of your toys, grown-ups need to take care of their IT toys with IT asset management, so they can use them to do important things like help people, make money, and maybe even play some games.
