ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Identitarianism

Identitarianism is a political belief that is based on the idea of defending your group's identity. This means that this group of people should promote their unique values, culture and beliefs, as well as traditions and customs. In other words, people who follow identitarianism think it's important for their group to keep their own identity and stay true to who they are. They also believe that their group is special and must be protected from outside influences. This could mean standing up for your group when someone tries to take away its rights or change its culture.
