Idle speed

Okay kiddo, you know how when you're playing with your toys, sometimes they move fast and sometimes they move slow? Well, cars are kind of like toys, and they have something called an "idle speed" which determines how fast the car's engine runs when it's not moving.

Think of it like this: when you're playing with a toy car and you're not making it move by pushing it, it just sits there. That's kind of like how a car's engine is when it's not moving the car. The idle speed is like how fast the toy car wheels spin when you're not pushing it around.

Now, just like how you might adjust the speed of your toy car by moving it faster or slower, people can also adjust a car's idle speed.
