Immunohistochemistry

Immunohistochemistry (sometimes shortened to IHC) is a way of looking at tissues and cells under a microscope. It uses special dyes and antibodies to stick to certain proteins or molecules in the cells. This helps scientists look at how different proteins in the cells interact with each other and what roles these proteins play in health and disease. The way the dyes appear show scientists different colors that can be used to look closely at what’s happening inside the cell.
