Impressed duty stamp

When you buy something, you have to pay some money to the government. That's called taxes. For some things, you have to pay extra taxes, like special clothes or food. The government puts a special stamp on those things to show that the taxes have been paid. That stamp is called an impressed duty stamp. It's like a special sticker that tells everybody that the extra taxes have been paid. If you don't have the impressed duty stamp on your things, you might have to pay a big fine or even go to jail! So, it's very important to have that stamp on things that need it.
