Indigenous peoples of Siberia

Okay kiddo, let me tell you about the indigenous peoples of Siberia. Siberia is a very big place in Russia, like a giant snowy forest. There are lots of different groups of people who are from there and have lived there for a long, long time. They have their own cultures, languages, and traditions.

Some of these groups are called the Evenki, Yakuts, Chukchi, and Nenets. They have lived in Siberia for thousands of years, long before any other people came to that part of the world. They used to hunt and fish and herd reindeer for food and clothing, and they would move around a lot to follow those animals.

The indigenous people of Siberia faced some tough times when other people started to come into their land. Some people wanted to take away their way of life and make them do things the way others did. They had to fight to keep their own culture and way of life.

A lot of these indigenous groups were pushed out of their traditional lands, and their population size decreased a lot. But now, people are starting to pay more attention to the importance of the indigenous cultures of Siberia. They are working together to celebrate and protect these cultures so that they can continue to thrive and be passed down to future generations.
