ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Industry (economics)

Okay kiddo, so you know how we need things like food, clothes, toys, and houses right? These things don't just magically appear, people have to make them. That's where industry comes in.

Industry is a group of businesses or factories that make things for people to use or buy. For example, if you want a new toy, a company in the toy industry will make it and sell it to a store for you to buy.

People who work in industry have jobs like making products on an assembly line, designing new things to make, or managing the business. They work together to make sure the products are made efficiently and sold for a fair price.

Industry is important because it helps us get the things we need and want. Without industry, we wouldn't have new clothes, cars, or technology. So, next time you play with your favorite toy or wear your favorite outfit, you can thank the industry for making it possible!
