Inferno (Dante)

Inferno is a story about a man named Dante who travels through Hell. Hell is a place where bad people go after they die, and they are punished there for the bad things they did when they were alive.

Dante's journey through Hell has different levels, and each level is reserved for people who did different bad things. For example, the first level is where people who didn't believe in God or who committed suicide go.

Each level has different punishments too. Some people have to spend eternity walking around blindfolded because they refused to see the truth when they were alive. Others have to spend forever in a fiery pit because they were very angry or violent.

Throughout the story, Dante encounters different people that he knew when he was alive. This includes people he respected as well as those he disliked. Dante learns that everyone, no matter how important or powerful they were, is subject to the same punishments in Hell if they were bad when they were alive.

Overall, Inferno is a story that teaches us that our choices have consequences and that we should always strive to do good in our lives.
