ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Inflation-indexed bond

Inflation-indexed bonds are like normal bonds, but the money you get back from the bond changes with inflation. Inflation is when prices for things go up, like food, gas, or clothes. This means that when you buy an inflation-indexed bond, you can be sure that you're getting back more in the future than you paid for it.
