An Information Commissioner is someone who makes sure that people and businesses in your country follow the law when it comes to collecting and using information about you. They do this by making sure that people and businesses protect your privacy and only use your information in a way that you've agreed to. They also make sure that businesses or organizations don't keep information about you for longer than they should.
