ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Information continuum

Okay, imagine you have a line. This line is like a long long road that goes on and on forever. At one end of this line is something called "raw data". Raw data is like a bunch of puzzle pieces without any clear picture. It's just pieces of information that don't really make sense on their own.

As you move along this line, the puzzle pieces start to come together and form something that looks more like a picture. This is called "processed data". Processed data is when you take the puzzle pieces and start putting them together to make something more understandable.

Next up is "information". This is when we've put all of those puzzle pieces together to create something that we can actually use. It's like when you finish a puzzle and can see the whole picture clearly.

Finally, as we keep going along this line, we get to "knowledge". This is when we take that information and connect it to other things we know, to make even more sense of it. Like if we saw a puzzle of an ocean, we might connect that to a video we saw of real waves crashing on a beach.

So, basically, the "information continuum" is like a journey along a road, where we move from raw data all the way to knowledge, by putting together puzzle pieces and connecting them to other things we know.
