ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Information repository

An information repository is a place where we store information. Just like how we keep our toys in a toy box, we keep information in an information repository. But this information can be anything- pictures, videos, documents or even ideas!

A repository can be like a big bookshelf with lots of different books on it. These books can have different topics like animals, space, and even how to bake a cake. Similarly, an information repository can have different folders or sections where we can store different types of information.

Just as we label our toy box with the names of the toys it contains, we also label the repository so we can easily find what we need. This way, if we want to find a specific toy, we can just look at the label on the toy box instead of searching through every box.

Similarly, if we need a specific document or picture, we can just look at the label or name of the folder in the repository where it’s stored. This can save time and make it easier for us to find the information we need!

So, an information repository is basically a place where we can store and organize information, making it easy for us to find what we need.
