Inner core super-rotation

Earth's inner core is a ball of iron and nickel that's very hot and under a lot of pressure. It spins around like a top and is rotating faster than the rest of the planet. This is called "inner core super-rotation". It's like when a toy top starts to spin really fast and the top part gets going around faster than the rest.
