ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Instant camera

Okay kiddo, an instant camera is like a magic picture machine. You can take a picture and then hold it in your hand right away, without needing to send it to a computer or wait for it to develop.

Here's how it works:

When you press the button to take a picture, the camera quickly captures the image and then prints it out on a special paper that has chemicals inside. These chemicals react to the light and heat, and make the picture appear right in front of your eyes.

It's like having a little photo printer inside the camera!

The photos that come out of an instant camera are usually small, around the size of a credit card or a Polaroid picture. They're fun to share with friends or save in a scrapbook.

Just remember, when you use an instant camera, you only get one chance to take the perfect shot. So make sure you aim carefully, and smile big!
