Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies

The Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies is a group of people who think about the possible advantages and disadvantages of new technologies and ideas. They try to figure out what is ethical and what isn't when it comes to new technologies and ideas. For example, they might ask questions like "Is it okay to use robots to do work that used to be done by people? Is it wrong to use computers to decide who gets certain jobs or who gets into certain schools?" They examine these questions to find out what is right and wrong when we use new technology.
