Institute of Coptic Studies

The Institute of Coptic Studies (ICS) is a place where grown-ups who are really interested in learning about Coptic history and culture go to learn more things.

Coptic history and culture is all about the people who used a special language called Coptic to talk to each other a long, long time ago in a place called Egypt. These people were very special because they were the first ones to believe in Jesus as a God, and they made beautiful art, music, and buildings to worship him in.

The ICS has lots of grown-ups who are experts in Coptic history and culture, and they have special classrooms and books where they teach other grown-ups about all the interesting things they know. Some of the grown-ups who go there are really smart and have even written books about Coptic history.

The ICS is like a big library where they keep lots of old and new books, and lots of special artifacts that are really old and interesting. These artifacts help grown-ups understand more about what the Coptic people were like a very long time ago.

So, in short, the Institute of Coptic Studies is a place where grown-ups go to learn and teach others about the interesting history and culture of the people who spoke Coptic in Egypt a long time ago.
