Insurgency in Punjab, India

Okay, kiddo, so in Punjab, which is a state in India, there was a group of peoplecalled insurgents who wanted their own separate country. They didn't like the way things were in India and wanted to create their own place to live.

But, the Indian government didn't want this to happen because they believed that everyone in India should stay together and be one country. And, so they fought against the insurgents to stop them from trying to break away.

There were a lot of fights and violence between the two groups. The insurgents would want to attack the government and the government would try to stop them. This went on for many years and a lot of people lost their lives because of it.

But, eventually, the Indian government was able to get the situation under control and they were able to stop the insurgents from causing more violence. Now, things are much more peaceful in Punjab and people are able to live their lives without fear of violence or danger.
