ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Intercession of the Spirit

Okay kiddo, so have you ever asked someone to help you with something? Like maybe you couldn't reach a toy on a shelf and you asked your big brother to get it for you? That's kind of like what intercession of the spirit means.

The Spirit is like our helper, and when we ask for help, He talks to God on our behalf. Just like how your big brother is able to reach the toy because he's taller and stronger, the Spirit is able to talk to God because He's a special part of God.

So if we're feeling sad or scared or don't know what to do, we can talk to the Spirit and ask Him to help us by talking to God. And then, we can trust that God will take care of us and give us what we need. It's like having a really good friend who always knows the right things to say and can help us feel better.

Does that make sense, little one?
