Interleague play

Okay kiddo, do you know that there are different teams that play baseball in different groups called leagues? Well, Interleague play means that teams from different leagues can play against each other.

So, let's say that your favorite team is the Yankees and they are in the American League, but you also really like the Dodgers who are in the National League. Normally, you might not get to see them play against each other because they are in different leagues, but with Interleague play, they can play each other in some games. This is really exciting because it gives fans a chance to see their favorite teams play against each other, even if they are not in the same league.

It's kind of like when you have a friend who goes to a different school and you don't get to see them very often, but then you get to play on the same sports team as them and it's super fun because you finally get to hang out and compete together.

So, basically, Interleague play is when teams from different baseball leagues get to play against each other and it's really cool because fans get to see some exciting matchups that they might not normally get to see.
