Intermediate cartridge

An intermediate cartridge is a type of bullet that is smaller and less powerful than some of the big bullets we use in things like hunting rifles or military machine guns. The word "intermediate" means it is in between, or not as big as the really big bullets but not as small as the little ones either.

These intermediate cartridges are often used in guns that are meant to be carried around a lot, like soldiers who are marching a long way, or police officers who need to move quickly. Even though they aren't as big and powerful as the larger bullets, they can still be very effective at stopping people or animals that are trying to hurt others. They are also often used in guns that can shoot a lot of bullets quickly, which can be important in certain situations.
